Intro: Cracking NEET PG
Hi there !
In this Blog, I will try to cover all the aspects and problems that can come along while preparing for NEET PG.
I have divided this into 6 posts:
The tips and strategies are after a thorough observation and inputs from many of my teachers and Friends. Not only from those who have successfully cracked the exam in the very first attempt, but also, more importantly from those who couldn't until 2-3 attempts, and know exactly what can go wrong and what all NOT TO DO.
Your rank would
simply be decided on how many Qs you get right on the day of the exam. The
examiner does not see the number of days you slogged, or the sacrifices you
made or how many times you scored well in your practice/mock/proff exams. If
you dont perform on "The Day", everything goes to waste.
One goal:
To be able to recall each and every page of notebooks of all 19 subjects during the stressful 3.5 hours of the main exam, that to as fast as possible.
To be able to recall each and every page of notebooks of all 19 subjects during the stressful 3.5 hours of the main exam, that to as fast as possible.
Lets break up this
goal into parts:
1. Recalling
Means having the info on
your fingertips. The topic and the page of the notebook should flash in front
of your eyes on reading the related question.
2. To have notebooks for all 19
subjects. Preferably your own handwritten notes.
3. In stressful period of 3.5
hrs. Yes its gonna be stressful, one exam deciding your future branch,
which ultimately decides who you become. And if gone wrong, you get a
chance next year. Already feeling stressed ? Exactly.
4. As quick as possible. Time is
really really less. 300 Qs in 210 minutes. Read the question, read all
options, apply knowledge, recall, find the correct answer, may be rule out
options and clicking next. All this in 40 seconds for each question.
5. Motivation to do
all of this.
6. Most importantly,
START DOING.
So in this Blog I will try to cover all these aspects and the problems that can come along.
Also, there are many other techniques and strategies that may differ but may be equally effective.
Everyone have their own way of doing it. Hence try following the ideal way at
the start, followed by modifying it according to your strengths and weaknesses
and your personal situations. But never blindly follow what someone tells you,
because as I said, everyone have their own way of doing things.
I would like to explain point 6 here itself. I have seen students asking for strategies and tips from various toppers. They keep watching all the Topper Interviews endlessly and keep accumulating info and various books suggested by different people. But the thing is everyone has almost the same thing to say. So does this blog. What you actually need to do is TO START.
Once you get over your inertia and start it, you will automatically start realizing the shortcomings, work on them and have a plan of your own. The purpose of this Blog is to guide you to YOUR plan and solve any problems you come across in between.
And again, Never settle for anything less than you can be, no matter how hard it may be to achieve it.
